Wim Wenders, Wings of Desire. Archive of 4 Original Vintage silver gelatin photographs used as lobby cards in movie theaters. Orion Pictures, 1988. All measure 8" x 10" in glossy black and white. Wings of Desire is a 1987 romantic fantasy and surrealist film about an angel who visits residents of Berlin, including one angel who falls in love with a trapeze artist. The film was inspired by art depicting angels around West Berlin encircled by the Berlin Wall. The film won awards for Best Director at the Cannes Film Festival and Premiere Magazine voted it the second greatest film of the 1980s. Photos feature Wim Wenders directing and Solveig Dommartin as the trapeze artist as well as several with Bruno Ganz as the angel. All feature the title of the film, director and production credits in the lower white margin. All have additional detailed captions of the scene and the actors [pasted on the verso. Very slight wear around the white margins. In very good condition.
