Kurosawa's Yojimbo. Archive of 2 Original Vintage photos used as lobby cards in movie theaters. Measures 8" x 10". Original Vintage Silver Gelatin Glossy Photographs in black and white. Yojimbo is a 1961 samurai film directed by Akira Kurosawa in which a ronin samurai arrives in a small town where competing crime lords fight for supremacy. The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Costume Design and inspired several US films including A Fist Full of Dollars and Star Wars. The combination of Western style and Eastern themes led to a world-wide reputation and increased Kurosawa's popularity in the US. One original photograph has a credit list pasted on the verso. Both in very good condition.
