University of Michigan Medical School, Class Portrait, includes four women, and one Indian doctor in 1928. A large photo Measures 22" x 17.5" inches. The large image is made of smaller portraits of students and faculty, each measuring 1.5" x 1" inches with students names below each one. Of the over 150 medical students, 4 are women, 3 of them white and one Indian. The medical faculty is entirely male. Aside from the Indian female student, the entire class is white. The group all together highlight the slow diversification of the medical field to incorporate women and minorities. The photo has a small tear to one margin, but not affect class images or text. Overall very good condition.
