Spector Motor Service itself operated an interstate freight network from Chicago, with its 600 West 25th Street terminal handling inbound, outbound, and local freight through organized crews of checkers, sorters, packers, and loaders.

Spector Motor Service provides an unusually direct Chicago connection: court records from the 1940s describe its Chicago terminal as a working freight facility receiving goods from Illinois and other states, sorting shipments by destination, and loading outbound trucks according to size, weight, and destination. By 1950, Spector was documented as an interstate carrier collecting freight in Connecticut and transporting it by truck to Chicago and St. Louis, illustrating the multistate network represented by the vehicles and drivers in these photographs. The 1956 highway legislation then authorized the construction of the Interstate Highway System, establishing the infrastructure that would transform long haul trucking in the following decades. Light surface wear, occasional edge curling and corner creasing; some photographs show minor fading. Overall in good condition. A concentrated visual record of Chicago truck drivers, motor express companies, and freight equipment during the regulated pre Interstate era of American trucking.
