The General in His Labyrinth is a fictionalized account of the last seven months in the life of South American statesman and revolutionary Simon Bolivar which follows his journey from Bogota to the Colombian coast in an attempt to leave South American for Europe. The book was originally published in Colombia in 1989 and subsequently translated to English by Edith Grossman for the 1990 U.S. edition. Overall very good condition. An uncorrected proof predating the first edition of the novel by famed Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
