Original Vintage Woman Suffrage Ladies' watch with NY suffrage “VOTE FOR WOMEN” face, circa. 1910. The timepiece face also features a yellow rose in center and the phrase “VOTE FOR WOMEN” is replacing the 12 numbers typically on a clock face around the watch face. The yellow rose became a symbol of women’s rights and suffrage after the National American Woman Suffrage Association claimed yellow as its “official color” in late-19th century America. This small, well-loved timepiece captures one popular way that women could incorporate their views on voting right into their everyday dress. Good condition, but rubbing to chrome detail around face and minor wear on back of case. Wind-up movement appears to work and keep time fine now but we do not guarantee working condition in the futur . Watch case is bout 1" diameter.Item #17594
