Gene Roddenberry writes about scheduling a college appearance

TLS : Typed Letter Signed

American screenwriter and producer best known as the creator of the sci-fi series "Star Trek." Typed letter signed. 1 page, 8.5" x 11," dated November 27, 1974. Roddenberry writes, in part:

"There is a very confused lady somewhere in the country who has probably been wondering for some time why I wrote and thanked her for a book and an hour of pleasant conversation one afternoon. Which is to say, I got your letter separated from the book and ended up assigning you the wrong name and address. If it is any comfort, the problem was that I remembered your face and the quality of your ideas so well that I assumed there was no way I could be wrong about the name. It was a most enjoyable hour or so with you and Jacqueline.

Regarding the college appearance you mentioned in your last letter, the proper way to set it up is to contact Mr. William Leigh, Jr....The reason for going through them is that they try to set up my tour dates so that they cover a whole region at the same time, minimizing jet-lag fatigue and that sort of thing..." Signed "Gene R."

Includes original transmittal envelope with Roddenberry's home return address. In excellent condition.
