Jane Kean, American actor best known for her role as Trixie Norton on the Jackie Gleason Show. 1 page ALS recto-verso on personal stationary written to Pearl Bailey, famous African-American singer in which Kean mentions both The Jackie Gleason show and Bailey's autobiography. Kean writes: "I'm on my way to Ittiami, to do a couple of Gleason shows with a short stop here, for one of those lovely, icky, nice paying commercials. On my T.W.A. flight from the coast, I finished reading "The Raw Pearl" and I adored it. Of course, I relived some of those early experiences with you, having gone throughth some the same roads myself. In fact, I identified so much with it, that I think it would be a good 'switch', if, when they make a major movie of it, I play your part.
