The group includes The Sensuous Frazetta (published by Russ Cochran, circa 1970s and First editions of The Magic of Frank Frazetta, and [MORE] MAGIC OF FRANK FRAZETTA, each reflecting the cult-like following Frazetta commanded among comic and fantasy enthusiasts during this period. Each measure 8.5" x 11". The Sensuous Frazetta is an unbound folio-style publication composed of 28 folded black-and-white pages (14 leaves), printed on one side with a single full-page illustration and on the reverse with two vignette-style images. This particular portfolio focuses on Frazetta’s erotic and pin-up studies of the female form, rendered in his signature bold ink work, and highlights his influence on the aesthetics of mid-century pulp erotica and 1970s sci-fy fantasy. The two issues of The Magic of Frank Frazetta and [MORE] MAGIC OF FRANK FRAZETTA are likewise printed in black-and-white, featuring 26 illustrations each, and emphasize his genre-defining contributions to heroic fantasy and sci-fi illustration. These privately produced early zines feature dynamic ink compositions of mythic battles, prehistoric beasts, and jungle warriors, including scenes that reference Frazetta's work on Tarzan and John Carter of Mars.
