Mylar covering. 8vo. 269 pages. Highsmith was predominantly known for writing psychological thrillers with many of her books being adapted into renown films. This book was her 6th novel with the inclusion of her lesbian love story The Price of Salt which was published under the pseudonym Claire Morgan. The story is set entirely in Mexico and plays with themes of religion, love, and war as the two protagonists, a Catholic repairman, and a wealthy German atheist, are both are involved in a love, murder, mystery triad. Highsmith has admitted to most of her personal relationships being with women. Spine of dust jacket has a small drip stain and has faded from orange to tan, overall very good condition.
