[Motorcycle] [Literature] Lincoln, Andrew Carey. Motorcycle Chums (Stormbound and In The Land of the Sky.) Chicago: M.A. Donohue & Company, 1912 and 1914. Hardcover First Editions. About 260 pages each, both measure 5.25" x 7.75". The Motorcycle Hums were a series of young Adult Novels written by bAndrew Carey Lincoln for the Donohue publishing company. The stories combined adventure elements with coming-of-age experiences, all taking place on vintage motorcycles. The adventures of these early riders inspired many young men of the era to consider the possibilities of exploration opened up by this new form of transportation. The books follow the characters of Jack, Freckles, Budge and Alec as they explore different areas around the country. Spine artwork is coming apart on one book, with both having foxing on pages from age. Slight wear around edges but with bright covers and tight textblocks. Overall in very good condition.
