A bold copper engraved map of Arabia, the Arabian coast, Red Sea, and Persian Gulf by map maker Jacques Bellin, titled: "Carte de la Coste D'Arabie, Mer Rouge, et Golfe de Perse,"printed in 1740. Size: 11.5" x 10." In the upper right half of the map is the Persian Gulf with mention of Bahrain, Pearl Bane, and the Straight of Ormus (Hormuz, Iran). Since this is a very early map Qatar is still entirely absent in the map. With two vertical folds. Overall in very good condition.
