[African American Film] Skullduggery is a 1970 American adventure film with a massive cast of African American extras. Skullduggery, Universal, 1970. Measures 11" x 14" in full color. Yellow Lobby Card features an image of Burt Reynolds and Roger Carmel traversing up a hill, past nearly two dozen African American extras who starred in the film. Based on the popular French novel, the plot follows an expedition in Papua New Guinea, where the Tropis, a tribe of apelike creatures, are being used as slaves by humans. When one of the Tropis is allegedly murdered, the following murder trial centers on the question of whether the Tropis are human or animal. Lobby card also features the ape-like Tropi illustrated in the lower-left corner. Tagline at the top of Lobby Card reads: "The Tropi: Was it human? animal? or the living descendant of the missing link! A band of adventurers matches raw courage against the terrors of the New Guinea jungle to bring back the creature that has haunted science for centuries."
