Letter dated May 18, 1887. Notable for the time, the membership board for United Hospital and Dispensary lists several woman doctors and emphasizes that here, "women may be treated by competent female physicians exclusively, if they so desire." It also lists Mary Livermore a famous journalist and advocate of women's rights. Very good.
