Women Vote in Half of the United States -- Why Not in New York? 1915
Ephemera
[Women Suffrage] White calling card with blue ink and border. 2 ¾ x 4 ¼ in. The card states that women can vote in half of the country but not in New York; and it calls upon the reader to “Join the Majority” and “Vote Yes on the Woman Suffrage Amendment.” The vote was on November 2, 1915, but failed to pass; two years later in 1917, women’s suffrage passed in New York on the statewide level. Very good condition. A lovely piece of history documenting the advancement of women's voting rights.Item #16309
