Sanger, Margaret. Leader of the contraception movement and founder of Planned Parenthood. Collection of an original 1934 article about Sanger testifying for the birth control cause, accompanied by a rare original lantern slide of Sanger on the courthouse steps. The article tells the history of the movement, along with Sanger’s testimony as to how it was first begun, when she attended a women weakened and dying after too many labors and asked her self if there was not something she could do to prevent such tragedies. Lantern slide is undated, and without notation. In Excellent condition. Article is one full page within an entire copy of the Literary Digest, dated Feb 10, 1934. In very good condition. Two rare items of Sanger, who continues to be revered for her dedication to alleviating women’s suffering.
