19th Century Multiracial Integrated Class Photo, 1890

19 century Integrated Class Albumen photograph circa. 1890. Image is approx. 8" x 3.5" a rural schoolhouse with approximately 30 students of all ages, the class includes one young African American boy in far left second row, decades before Brown v Board of Education. The students seem to be from 3 years old through high school. Which implies a small school in a very small community. Some older student are very close to the age of the teacher, The photo was taken outside a clapboard school building. The photo is on the original tan backing, that was cut down to size of the photo, with rounded corners. Very good condition.Item #15399
