Western Photo of Cattle at Sunset. Original photograph circa 1920s by Paul Grenbeaux. Depicts a herd of cattle in shadow as the sun sets over the western plane. The sky is still bright, creating a stark and artful silhouette of the herd. This photograph is unusually large and decorative at 11"x14" with a tasteful matte finish. The original matting surrounding the photograph photo is embossed with the name of the photographer "Grenbeaux" in the lower right. Paul Grenbeaux was a Hollywood-based photographer mainly active in the 1920s and associated with film photography. In this photograph he depicts a romanticized vision of the west, as it would have been shown in films of the 1920s. Matting has minor scuffing and bending, but the photograph itself is in excellent condition.
