This book is considered to be one of the most comprehensive, accurate portrayals of African American life from 1946 to 1947. Notably viewed as "the World Almanac of current facts and figures about America's largest minority group", Murray compiles vital information and statistics concerning Black education, organizations, housing, authors, businesses, cases from World War II, sports, and more. An ex-library copy with common markings including stamps, a sleeve, and plates on endpapers and title page. Title is missing from front board but the text pages are clean, crisp, and bright. Overall, in good to very good condition.
