Groundbreaking production of Jerry Herman's acclaimed musical starring Pearl Bailey, an actress and writer who made history as the first African-American to receive the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. Her performance as Dolly earned her a Special Tony Award in 1968, and the cast released their own album--a rarity for a revival. This playbill has illustrated wrappers and contains black-and-white photographs and biographies of each player. Also included is a large spread of pictures from the play.
