Abraham Lincoln and Civil War Figures Album of pasted oval portraits with signatures underneath each image. Features most notably Abraham Lincoln with a pasted signature below his image. Some inscriptions are dated 1861 and New York. The album includes 93 black and white and sepia small photos. Most measure 2.5" x 2.25". Original dark green morocco boards with ornate gilt title "Photographs". Top of spine chipped and separated. Rubbing along margins. 4.5" x 7". The fifteenth page shows a pasted oval photo of a young Lincoln, which appears to be an engraving, with a separately pasted paper below with signature "A. Lincoln". There is also a portrait and pasted signature of Henry Clay, House Speaker, Secretary of State, and thrice presidential candidate. On most all pages is at least one original oval photograph portrait of men and women. A few are almost full page with one in military uniform with sword. Many are signed below the image with most signed directly on the page, a few cut out and pasted in as with the Lincoln and Clay signature. Overall in very good condition.Item #17510
