Reprinted from THE TIMES. This letter to the editor, reprinted as a handbill, makes the case that women are equal to men from a medical perspective: "I, as a medical practitioner, would be glad to show that recital of a few facts destroys the fabric" of a misogynistic framework. Amongst other points, Horsley humorously notes: "We may summarily dismiss [Sir A. Wright's] first accusation against women-- namely, that before 50 years of age they fail with 'serious and long continued medical disorders,' for we are well aware that our women folk of that age our sane...." Toning, creasing to corners, a few small spots along edges, not affecting text. Overall in good condition.
