Novelization of the 1977 film, this first edition was released six months prior to the movie's release. This is the Book Club Edition which precedes the 1977 retail hardcover printing (all further editions after early 1977 were trade paperbacks). You can see the Gutter code designation "S31" on page 183 wich proved this to be the earliest edition. Star Wars by George Lucas, was ghost-written by Alan Dean Foster. Sound binding. Clean pages. Dust Jacket shows some light wear but both book and DJ cover in very good condition.Item #16883
