Linen backed. Original patent lithograph for F. Dumoulin’s improvement of a shotgun trigger mechanism. This lithograph was issued by the patent office for the patent holder to prove his claim or if a competitor was requesting to review a patent. Few of these have survived. The diagram depicts close-up cross-sections of the intricate inner workings of the trigger mechanism. Right border reads: “The Drawings is a reproduction of the Original on a reduced scale.” Light even toning, faint reddish stains along left edge. Excellent condition.
