Women’s Suffrage March in Mexico City. Vintage black and white photo. 1910s. 3 ¾ x 5 in. Written in green ink along bottom margin “Womens’ Suffrege Mexico City”. Very early photo of suffrage activism in Mexico. A group of women in long dresses and shawls march through a city street bearing oversize signs calling for expanded women’s rights. Suffrage and feminist groups grew in popularity in Mexico during the 1910s, as revolution swept the country and changes were being made in both political and social realms. Light toning. Small closed tear center top edge not affecting image. Very good condition.
