Original press caption printed next to image: "British round-the-world flyer, returned home 8/19 to Britain, which she left just a year and a day ago. Her flight to London's Croydon Airport ended the 1st single-engine round-the-world flight by a woman at point where she started it." These original press photo taken by photojournalist within tight timeframe for the benefit of particular editorial board and with the aim of usage by the press to illustrate an article often affected public opinion in the nation.
