Actress best known for her roles in Breakfast at Tiffany's and My Fair Lady. Letter on Hepburn's preparation for the sweeping historical drama "War and Peace." 1 page Typed Letter Signed from Rome and dated June 28, 1955 on her favored blue stationery.

In the letter, Hepburn discusses filming "War and Peace," which co-starred her newly wed husband Mel Ferrer. Among the details of the letter, Hepburn writes that filming has required her to change her favored short haircut, which became iconic in films such as Roman Holiday and Sabrina. In the Typed Letter signed in 1955 from Rome Hepburn writes about her short hair, mentioning with excitement her relationship with a stylist who helped to keep the cut in order. From Rome in the days leading up to her role in "War and Peace" Hepburn writes in part, "I don't have to tell you how happy I am to have Barbara with us [on set]. Needless to say she is once again doing wonderful wonders with my short hair (although I am growing it out now for the picture)." In addition to commenting on her style, Hepburn further writes about her excitement about creatively preparing for the film and at being able to work closely with her husband, whom she had only recently wed: "Although we have not started shooting yet, we have been vigorously preparing for it, and it is all most exciting and enjoyable. I am so happy about everything, especially with the fact that Mel and I are in the picture together and do not have to be separated by our work." They enjoyed a 14-year-long marriage and had one child together. This unique letter shows the high value Hepburn placed both on her marriage and her career.
