Yearly report from Jane Addams’ organization, produced same year she wins historic Nobel Peace Prize.

Jane Addams’ organization the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom produced this pamphlet the same year Addams won the Nobel Peace Prize, in part for her work in founding and maintaining the global pacifist organization. The report discusses the work that the organization did during that historic year. Their stated goals are to bring together women of different political views and philosophical backgrounds determined to study and make known the causes of war and work for a permanent peace. The report focuses on a range of topics, such as the disarmament campaign, Sino-Japanese Situation, India, and Burma. It also has a brief note about Jane Addams’ recent Nobel Peace Prize, “The British Section sent its enthusiastic congratulations to the International President, Miss Jane Addams, who received this year a Nobel Peace Prize.” Near fine condition, small pencil mark has been erased on title page, no text affected. This Yearly Report is extremely rare and important, as it details the work that the League did during the year its president and founder Jane Addams won the Nobel Peace Prize.
