DEBS, Eugene V. Woman. [Terre Haute]: No publisher, N.d. (circa 1910). Broadside (approx. 10-1/2" x 5-1/2"). A brief essay from socialist activist praising the qualities of "Woman" and her importance to the class struggle. Debs's Socialist Party was one of the foremost allies of the full citizenship for women. The piece iAn emotionally charged composition that declaring: "while I would not bow to her as being more than man, yet I would give her every right I claim for myself.. when I think of what the world would be without the inspiring influence of woman, I am ashamed of what the world has done with her.. She has done everything for the world and man has done everything evil to her." Repaired tear lower right, extending roughtly 3/4 of the way through document but without loss to text; Good. Issued without date or imprint, but with printers union bug of the Terre Haute Allied Trades Council.
