This original WWI War Bonds poster was designed by Paul Albert Besnard (French 1849-1934). Shown is the personification of winged Victoryangel holding her sword to protect a young woman and her child. This poster is asking the French people with the tagline "Souscrivez pour hâter la Paix par la Victoire," which translates to "Subscribe to hasten peace through Victory.", Very colorful and beautiful, has fold maks, It is in good plus condition, with some chips off the edges of the poster, There are some neat tissue repairs on the reverse side, mostly along the edges.This colorful illustrated poster is clean and bright.
