[Military] [African American] [World War II]. Archive of three Rolls of Honor of African American soldiers who served in WWII. Woodmere, NY: George J. Mayer, circa 1945. Chicago, Ill: Morris Solmon, 1944. Ensley, Ala: P.T.C Kemp Cook, November 1942. 7th Regiment Aviation Squad. All measure 19.5" x 15.5". Each Roll of Honor shows the black soldier surrounded by American flags with an eagle above. Each represents a different branch of the military - one in the Army, another in the Navy, as well as the Aviation Squad. One is unframed with irregular edges on white blank margin, not affecting text or design. The words "Liberty and Justice" are printed at the bottom of each poster. Commemoration of three black soldier's service in this form is very scarce. All three in very good condition.
