Very Scarce Broadside "Women! Do Something!"

Addams, Jane

Broadside

Jane Addams became the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, largely for her work founding Hull House as a settlement space for working women and their children. In addition to providing childcare services for employed mothers, Addams included childhood education programs, a library, and an employment bureau to further lift women and children out of poverty and into prosperity. Taking her mission global in 1915, she founded the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. A very rare surviving broadside from the same year, which includes Addams as a lecturer and is titled "Women! Do Something!" At the time that this description is being written, only one copy is recorded in American institutions. OCLC search results are at best an estimate and can vary over time. In very good condition.
