Robison received her doctorate from Columbia in 1936. Robinson was the executive director of the National Council of Jewish Women from 1940 to 1942. At the end of World War II, the White House asked Robison to study the economic impact of the influx of refugees to America, in order to allay fears that these people were lowering wages and costing taxpayers. Her resulting book, Refugees at Work, with an introduction by Eleanor Roosevelt, documented the positive economic and cultural impact of these new Americans. Scarce and in very good condition.
